From the Studio: Bringing Neon Maximalism & Earthy Botanicals to Fabric

Welcome to the studio, pull up a stool, and lets take a little creative break together.

Spoonflower has quickly become one of my favorite projects. I love working digitally, because I can create so freely and it leads to such dynamic work. My latest favorites are playing with both electric maximalist vibes as well as grounded, earthy, minimalism. Do they work together? no. Are they both beautiful? absolutely. 

Here's a little behind the scenes of a pattern I made (available here!) from the most beautiful peony I've ever seen. I was walking to the farmer's market and just had to stop.

 


Oh, and SURPRISE! I started a youtube channel where I plan to post videos of my creative process, how I choose references, and to answer questions about my work. I also plan to take you along on a full-length painting session where you can see me make choices, mix colors, and paint in real time. Subscribe! I'd love to see you there. 

I'm also ahead of the game with halloween, and put out my first two patterns as well!

This mediterranean tile just makes me happy to look at.




I'm also in love with it as a duvet cover. I'm considering getting it for myself!

In contrast to that super vibrant piece, I did this super beautiful little earthy numbers.

Can you imagine it as wallpaper??? So good. I can't wait to see pictures from someone who does it.
